Today I have a pretty late start from Kennedy Meadows, 4.15 p.m., on one hand because I don’t want to get away from Carsten, on the other because there are so many things to do, like sort out the equipment, the food (I packed food for 7 days), cut out my shoes and transform them into fording shoes (I’ll try to keep my new GoreTex boots dry), etc.
I want to get to a certain point so I keep going untill 8.30 p.m., passing Beck Meadows, the biggest meadow in the Sierra and such a beautiful place. I set up my tarp under the full moon.
